Extensions and Alterations
People often need to extend their homes as an alternative to relocating to another property, NONE MORE SO THAN IN THE CURRENT ECONOMIC CLIMATE, but it is important that extensions are appropriate in design, size and appearance to the original building.
Extensions can have a significant impact upon the appearance and character of a building, and larger extensions can often be inappropriate.
IN ALL CASES EXTENSIONS WILL REQUIRE THE APPROPRIATE PLANNING PERMISSIONS.
It is worth remembering that bad design can also reduce the value of your home. An extension should not dominate the existing building by being overlarge. It should harmonise with the shape, roof pitch and proportions of the original building.
Ideally, any extension should appear as though it were an integral part of the original design.
Property Extensions
If you are planning a property extension then you will require a considerable amount of professional advice. A professional Design Team is also required to prepare the detailed drawings and Project documentation to support a planning application with the Local Authority.
TransFormations work closely with Clients from a very early stage to determine their exact needs and to help them understand the important factors involved in gaining Planning Permission in Spain and undertaking a successful property extension, as well as advising on material and building costs.
Drawings
TransFormations offer a complete design service with the help of professional Architects and Engineers each inscribed in the College of Architects in Malaga. Important factors associated with all design proposals for property extensions are covered in our Design Services.
Building Work
All work can be Project Managed and Supervised by the Design Architect and Technical Architect. Alternatively TransFormations offer an independent Project Management Service.

Bedrooms
When refurbishing your bedroom maybe you are looking to simply replace the existing built-in wardrobe fronts and give the walls and ceiling a lick of paint to give your bedroom a refreshing new look.
Alternatively you may be looking to completely transform the original setting of your bedroom and create a new calm, cosy and relaxing atmosphere in which to retreat.
Placing the bed is the main decision when planning the layout of a bedroom. You will also need to think about electrical socket access, television points (aerials) etc, and storage space. A cluttered bedroom looks untidy and is hard to relax in. Good lighting is essential to a bedroom to create atmosphere and add convenience.
Working with local joinery workshops and our own skilled and experienced tradesmen TransFormations are able to create whatever you desire both inside and outside the wardrobe.
You may want to:
- Change from opening doors to sliding doors
- Match the new wardrobe doors with those in the rest of the property
- Enlarge your bedroom by removing and existing wall
- Create a walk-in dressing room
- Provide additional storage space
- Create a new wardrobe interior to suit your needs
- Purchase fully co-ordinated complimentary bedroom furniture
- Have a new suspended ceiling and lighting
Whatever you want let's talk through your ideas and wishes!
Having worked with one of the UK's leading manufacturers we know the importance of first listening to the Client's wishes, what you love, what you hate and what you would absolutely desire.
